Switzerland – Illegal Bt63 rice found

On 27 March 2009, the EU RASFF system reported that illegal BT63 rice had been identified in rice noodles imported into Switzerland via Thailand and the UK. For further details see RASFF No 2009.0360

On the 24 April 2009, illegal Bt 63 rice was again identified on sale in Switzerland this time in rice sticks which had been imported directly from China. For further details see RASFF No 2009.0523
